About Us

Dream Rydes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Texas native, Danielle Kuban-Johnston. The mission is fueled by devoted staff, board members,  and an entire crew of volunteers. We are driving change to support children undergoing treatment for cancer to have a reliable method of transport to the hospital. The Dream Rydes team is saving children through transportation assistance to ensure they never miss a lifesaving cancer treatment.

Allocated funding supports the following initiatives:

  • Provide transportation services to patients at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center in Houston, TX.

  • Provide Ryde of A Lifetime curated experiences for children to enjoy a full day doing their favorite activites in Houston surrounded by their families and the best part - having the opportunity to experience riding in their dream car, boat, helicopter, boat, or plane.

Our Mission

The mission of Dream Rydes is to bring the community to provide reliable transportation assistance to fuel the path for children fighting pediatric cancer.

Vision

We look forward to the day when Dream Rydes will no longer need to exist as science progresses and a cure to cancer is found. Until that time, we want to ensure children don't miss a lifesaving cancer treatment due to transportation challenges.

Our History

"I survived cancer. My mother was my greatest support, my best friend, and my rock. When her cancer diagnosis came, I was heartbroken. She bravely fought breast cancer but was soon diagnosed with AML as a side effect of chemotherapy, and we had only four precious months left together before her passing. In her final days, I promised her that I would dedicate my life to helping others face cancer."
