Patient Stories
Savannah
In loving memory of
During her final days, Savanah wanted to surprise her twin brother on the football field during his homecoming game. Though she was frail, her determination never wavered. Dream Rydes was honored to help make that moment possible.
On Halloween night, we gently assisted Savanah and her parents into our van and brought them to the game. Savanah’s brother walked onto the field beside her, sharing a moment that meant everything to their family. Savanah stayed through halftime, smiling, excited, and fully present, soaking in the joy of being together. We are deeply grateful to the Ayers family for trusting us during her last days.
We miss Savannah so much.

Eli
It’s not easy to make Eli smile—unless he’s inside a fast car. At just five years old, Eli was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia. His mom, Leanne, shared how challenging it was as a single mother to juggle caring for Eli in the hospital while getting her other children to school and activities, often making exhausting 45-minute drives back and forth.
Today, Eli is cancer-free and feeling better. He and his family now attend many of our events to support the cause, knowing firsthand the emotional and financial strain of constant trips to medical appointments. They often share that they wish Dream Rydes had been there when Eli was in the thick of his fight.

Eden
Transportation aid for chemotherapy
At just 10 years old, Eden received devastating news that her cancer returned. Her family was overwhelmed, struggling to balance work, her sister’s schooling, and the mounting costs of transportation for medical appointments. Dream Rydes provided comfort ensuring she would make it to her chemotherapy and radiation treatments, giving her the opportunity to fight for her life. We recently attended her wedding and wish her the best!

Kayleana
Ryde of A Lifetime to the Astros game
Kayleana is a brave girl and a patient at Texas Children's Hospital who is fighting High Grade Glioma - a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Her social worker reached out to give this special girl a Ryde of A Lifetime experience! Dream Rydes took the whole family to the Astros game. They were private chauffeured in our van. She reclined back, put on good music, and sang her little heart away!
Luna
Transporting Luna to the hospital for her lifesaving treatments is no small task. Her parents must ensure her critical intubation equipment remains safely connected at all times during the journey. Thanks to your generous donations, our specialized van stays on the road to help Luna and other medically fragile patients get to the care they urgently need.
